Luminis Health, Inc. in Annapolis, MD seeks a Patient Account Representative to manage the claims process within the Revenue Cycle, ensuring accurate charge review, timely submission, and follow-up with payers and patients.

You will work with Epic EHR, process pre-AR and post-AR activities, resolve denials, assist with patient inquiries, and maintain HIPAA compliance while supporting a high-volume billing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of multi-specialty billing experience preferred, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with Epic EHR preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Operate billing systems to update patient demographics and facility files, manage pre-AR and post-AR charge sessions, and resolve billing workqueues.
• Prepare, audit, and submit clean primary and secondary claims electronically or on paper according to payer specifications; follow up on outstanding claims.
• Analyze insurance rejections and remittance denials; perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues; maintain tracking and documentation.
• Respond to patient and customer billing inquiries professionally; explain financial options and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and maintains professionalism in a deadline-driven environment.
