Job summary

The Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania is seeking a friendly Phone Receptionist to join the Medical Billing Department. You will answer calls from patients, insurers, and providers, assist with balances, payments, and claims, and maintain patient confidentiality in a HIPAA-compliant manner.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office, billing office, or customer service is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and billing procedures is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming billing-related phone calls professionally.
• Assist patients with questions on balances, claims, payments, and statements.
• Verify insurance and demographic information as needed.
• Document all patient communications and account activity in the billing system.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA regulations.
