CommuniCare Health Center Careers in Lincoln, Nebraska is hiring a Financial Counselor responsible for verifying coverage and patient balances across outpatient and inpatient services. You will coordinate with multiple departments to ensure proper documentation, authorizations, and accurate billing.

The role requires five years of insurance verification experience, ICD/CPT knowledge, and proficiency with EHR systems like eCW; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, along with strong customer

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Coding certification preferred.
• Minimum five years' experience in insurance verification.
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT codes and medical terminology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Electronic Health Record experience required; eCW preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Hours and location may change.

Mansioni

• Verify insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles and authorization requirements.
• Communicate with patients and departments to resolve billing questions.
• Generate and review reports on accounts, deposits and self-pay balances.
• Arrange payment plans for outstanding balances.
• Obtain referrals and pre-certifications as needed.
• Assist with training clinical staff on insurance verification.
• Complete special projects and maintain accurate accounts.
• Ensure complete patient demographic data for claims processing.
