Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Patient Account Representative I to support the billing team in Jacksonville, FL. You will handle inbound calls from patients, answer billing questions, and help collect outstanding balances.

Responsibilities include updating demographics, arranging payment plans, and coordinating with insurance carriers to resolve claims and ensure timely payments. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of customer service and/or collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls from patients with billing questions and collect on outstanding balances.
• Assist patients by resolving inquiries verbally or in writing.
• Initiate telephone contact to collect on balances prior to appointments.
• Update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Structure and manage payment plans for patients.
• Ensure timely receipt of payments and refile claims when appropriate.
• Work with insurance carriers to check claim status and resolve processing issues.
• Escalate when necessary and follow up as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
