Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an Insurance Collections Analyst to manage end-to-end insurance processing, billing and collections for patients. The role includes filing claims, following up on denials, handling payments and coordinating with physicians’ offices and insurers.

Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding, plus excellent communication, is essential. The position requires a high school diploma and at least two years of relevant experience; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of insurance, billing and collection experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify and file insurance and Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Follow-up on pending insurance claims.
• Assist with setting up payment agreements and processing patient payments by phone or mail.
• Post payments received with EOBs and answer patient balance questions.
• Maintain monthly work log in NextGen by assigned due date.
