North Florida Surgeons is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Accounting/Medical Biller to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on accurate billing, timely reimbursements, and delivering excellent patient financial experiences.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of medical billing experience, familiarity with ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS, and proficiency in EHRs and billing software. This position supports the revenue cycle team and emphasizes compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of medical billing/claims experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding.
• Understanding of EOBs and claims processing.
• Proficient with HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Review and prepare patient accounts for billing.
• Ensure timely submission of claims and payments.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurers and patients.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and support appeals.
• Communicate with patients about balances and payment plans.
• Collaborate with revenue cycle to meet goals and improve processes.
• Generate reports and resolve general patient account issues.
