Job summary

NYU Langone Florida in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to serve as the initial contact for patients with balance, benefits, and insurance questions. You will handle calls and messages, enter data in our billing system, and follow prescribed workflows to resolve inquiries with care and professionalism.

Qualifying candidates will have a high school diploma, prior customer service or billing experience, and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year in customer service or medical billing preferred.
• Experience with CPT/ICD-10 codes and insurance procedures is a plus.
• Typing speed 35 wpm or greater; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient inquiries about balances, benefits, and insurance via phone or messages.
• Log data in CRM, process payments, and follow up on open issues per protocols.
• Coordinate with providers and billing teams to resolve questions and ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to confidentiality, regulatory requirements, and training protocols.
• Enter notes in Epic CRM and maintain timely follow-up in assigned queues.
