Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to serve as the first contact for patients regarding balances, benefits, and insurance. The CSR I handles calls and messages, documents interactions in the billing system, and supports billing workflows with empathy and professionalism.

You will follow established scripts, resolve routine inquiries, and collaborate with provider offices to ensure accurate information and timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance, or related duties.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 utilized in medical billing.
• Typing speed 35 words per minute or greater on pre-employment assessment.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and electronic messages; log data in CRM; process payments and follow-ups.
• Assist with billing procedures and system edits; maintain high patient satisfaction.
• Enter notes in Epic CRM and other systems; follow established workflows.
