Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to serve as a primary contact for patients regarding balances, benefits, and insurance. You will answer calls or messages, log data in CRM, process payments, and escalate complex issues to ensure accurate billing and high patient satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Central Billing Office and Patient Access teams, follow scripts, maintain confidentiality, and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or GED. Experience in customer service, medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance, or related duties; Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 utilized in medical billing; English usage, grammar and spelling; basic math; 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with a team and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with Epic systems and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and electronic messages from patients regarding balances, benefits and insurance.
• Log call data into CRM, enter data, and follow up on issues based on management guidance.
• Process payments, address billing issues, and perform outbound calls to patients as needed.
• Escalate complex issues to ensure accurate billing and high patient satisfaction.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements in all interactions.
