Responsibilities

• Greets every individual on the phone or in person with a smile and a warm, professional greeting.
• Coordinates with scheduling to arrange patient appointments when prior authorizations are pending or denied.
• Assists departments with inquiries into accounts, eligibility, financial estimates, and policies.
• Ensures patient information is secured and paperwork disposed of properly to maintain confidentiality.
• Obtains and documents prior authorizations prior to service receipt.
• Contacts physician offices to gather missing patient information.
• Uses patient estimate tools to obtain accurate out-of-pocket estimates and generates estimate letters.
• Updates patient accounts with current insurance information.
• Submits insurance referral documentation promptly.
