Job summary

Stephenville Medical Center is seeking a Call Center Associate to schedule and reschedule patient appointments, answer incoming calls, and forward messages to clinical staff. You will ensure accuracy of patient information and maintain confidentiality in line with regulations.

The role requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinic. Evening and Saturday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; read and follow written instructions and procedures.
• Computer proficiency and basic typing skills.
• Working knowledge of insurance processes and billing basics.
• Strong communication with a diverse patient base; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with professional demeanor and good judgment.
• Maintain regular attendance, including possible evening or Saturday shifts.
• Commitment to customer service and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments in the EPM system according to physician guidelines.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Reschedule appointments as needed and communicate changes to patients via phone, portal, or mail.
• Document communications and no-shows in the patient chart; follow up as required.
• Answer calls promptly and courteously; take messages and relay to clinical staff.
• Assist other receptionists and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
