Riverside Family Physicians is seeking a team-oriented receptionist to join our busy clinic. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and comfortable with technology, able to communicate with patients, physicians, and staff with confidence and empathy.

Responsibilities include handling incoming calls, scheduling and coordinating appointments, verifying demographics and insurance, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some roles may require certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience; medical appointment scheduling preferred.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of medical terminology are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple incoming calls for appointments.
• Schedule appointments in line with physician/department requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments as necessary.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information, updating changes as needed.
• Confirm appointments and reschedule as per provider schedule changes.
• Run reports as required.
• Communicate information to providers, assistants, and the eligibility department.
• Adhere to safety policies and HIPAA/PHI protections.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
