Ez Health, fully remote in the United States, is seeking a Patient Advocate to support older adults by coordinating appointments, medications, transportation, and benefits. You will translate medical terms into plain language and advocate for practical solutions.
You will work with a small caseload, building trusted relationships while handling outbound calls, documentation, and follow-ups to ensure each client’s needs are met. This role offers flexibility and growth opportunities.

Getting older shouldn't mean getting lost in the healthcare system. At Ez Health, we pair older adults with a dedicated advocate who helps them handle the medical and everyday challenges that pile up: appointments, medications, specialist referrals, transportation, coverage questions, and everything in between. Our clients often sense that something is off but don't know where to turn. That's where you come in.
As a Patient Advocate, you become a trusted, familiar voice for each person you support. You'll figure out what's actually going on, decide on the best path forward, and keep working the problem until it's resolved.
You won't be juggling hundreds of callers. Most advocates support around 20 clients or fewer, so you'll have the time to really know each person, build a relationship with them, and adjust your support as their circumstances shift.
A typical week might include
Calling clients on a regular schedule to check in and see what's new
Asking good questions and listening carefully to understand what each person really needs
Getting clients ready for upcoming appointments and walking them through their follow-up steps afterward
Translating medical terms, benefits, and next steps into everyday language
Coordinating with doctors' offices, pharmacies, insurance companies, and community programs for your clients
Setting up transportation, medication refills, meal assistance, and other practical help
Researching options and finding workarounds when a client runs into a roadblock
Documenting each call, the client's needs, and any agreed-upon next steps
Keeping a running list of open tasks and following through until each one is finished
What we value
You don't need prior healthcare experience to apply, though it's welcome. We care most about clear communication, good judgment, real empathy, and a history of following through.
You'll likely thrive here if you enjoy talking with older adults by phone, are comfortable making outbound calls for much of your day, and know when to listen and when to dig a little deeper. You can explain confusing topics in a simple, friendly way, and you stay patient and warm when someone is frustrated, worried, or unsure.
You keep multiple cases organized without letting anything slip, take ownership without being chased, and are confident with email, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other online tools. Most of all, you get satisfaction from tracking down practical solutions for real people.
We lean on technology and AI to keep our work organized and efficient. Still, what makes a great advocate can't be automated: kindness, sound judgment, persistence, and genuine human connection.
