The Patient Advocate assists the CEO, leadership, PI/Risk Director and medical staff in carrying out and implementing a comprehensive and integrated program.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing, coordinating, and documenting Patient Satisfaction Surveys.
  • Maintain a record of all completed reviews, evaluations, and process improvement teamactivities.
  • Develop and implement the Patient Experience training programs and initiatives that support the organization’s mission.
  • Undertake special projects to accelerate improvement in patient satisfaction and patient experience.
  • Assist the CEO and Risk/PI Director with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state surveys.
  • Assist the CEO and Risk/PI Director, who is responsible for the collection of data and submission of results for monitoring for The Joint Commission and IPF for CMS.
  • Responsible for receiving and logging all official correspondence from all official and accrediting agencies.
  • Prepare all reports, as assigned by the CEO, Risk/PI Director.
  • Fulfill all of the functions of the Human Rights Officer.
  • Follows the patient grievance process, ensuring the investigation of the grievance, ensuring appropriate actions are taken, documenting actions, and informing the patient/representatives of the results of the investigation and actions taken.

Qualifications

Your Experience Matters- What we’re looking for:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Nursing, master's in social work or counseling required.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting involving quality improvement required.

Additional Requirements: Computerskills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and business writing. Must have completed Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and CPR/First Aid (BLS) certification at the time of application. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours

Compensation:
