Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Hospital Admissions Representative in Monrovia, CA to obtain demographic and financial information, verify insurance benefits, and assign correct medical record and account numbers for accurate billing and clinical data.

The role requires high school diploma, data entry skills, and a willingness to obtain required certifications. Schedule includes full-time shifts with evenings, weekends, and rotating holidays; benefits are provided by Guidehouse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 year experience in a medical setting or heavy customer service environment.
• Current BLS Certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data in computer and document incomplete admissions/registrations.
• Notify patients of insurance coverage issues and co-pays; document in system.
• Review physician orders for completion and ensure information is listed.
• Complete Medicare Compliance and ABN if necessary.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer calls using scripted responses and assist callers.
