Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant program or secretarial training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and admit patients upon arrival.
• Enter admitting information into the computer.
• Coordinate bed assignment and notify physicians.
• Communicate transfer information between departments.
• Handle discharge functions and finalize records in the computer.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and arrange transportation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Assist with interdepartmental communications as needed.
