Job summary

Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, HI, is seeking a Per Diem Associate to facilitate patient medical and financial clearance, coordinate wellness program scheduling, and ensure proper authorizations. The role requires strong communication and confidentiality with sensitive information.

You will work with scheduling staff, physicians, and patient clients, supporting front desk duties and contributing to patient access. Training and participation in wellness communications are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Two years' healthcare experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules patient care for wellness programs and communicates with scheduling staff and user departments.
• Answers telephone inquiries regarding physician referrals and covers front desk duties as needed.
• Collaborates with Patient Financial Services to obtain appropriate authorizations and submits documentation for retro-authorization or denial appeals.
• Develops monthly Wellness newsletter and updates website and promotional flyers; participates in training.
