Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a patient registration specialist to deliver accurate outpatient and inpatient registration and insurance verification. You will provide patient-focused service, explain benefits, and help ensure compliance with payer requirements.

The role involves collecting payments and guiding patients through financial options while maintaining confidentiality and quality service. Onsite position in Shelby with full-time Day shift and two-week training schedule.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience, required
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient focused customer service.
• Performs outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions.
• Collects patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals.
• Provides general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices.
