Health First in New York is seeking a Patient Access Team Lead to act as SME for patient and payer items, analyze trends, and independently guide the team. You will optimize department operations, resolve escalations, and mentor new associates.

The role requires strong communication, Lean mindset, and proficiency with MS Office while coordinating daily schedules and maintaining service quality in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Licensure: None Required.
• Certification: CPR Certification (American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR/AED).
• Work Experience: 1 year in Patient Service Specialist or 3-5 years in healthcare.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: strong communication, MS Office proficiency, autonomous work style, analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage department schedules and daily operations.
• Serve as second level for problem resolution with customers to achieve optimal results.
• Apply logic to identify solutions, recognize trends, and escalate when needed.
• Oversee accounts to ensure accurate information and educate as needed.
• Demonstrate SME knowledge of Patient Access operations and systems.
