Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) seeks a Supervisor of Patient Access to oversee daily operations of patient access functions, ensuring accurate registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and financial clearance while serving as liaison among patients, clinical departments, and revenue cycle teams.

The role provides leadership to the Patient Access staff, standardizing workflows, delivering training across the system, and promoting a patient-centered environment in New York’s Southern Tier.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of training, staff development, or healthcare operations experience.
• Experience delivering in-person, remote, and technology-supported training.
• Supervisory or coordinator experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic/EHR workflows or similar systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work of the training team with assignments, priorities, coaching, and escalation.
• Develop standardized curriculum, workflows, job aids, and training plans with leadership.
• Oversee training delivery for system-wide clerical workflows and updates.
• Coordinate with system admins on material updates for changes and new functionality.
• Lead training readiness for implementations, go-lives, and transitions.
• Monitor training quality, completion, and competency validation across departments.
• Promote adult learning principles and instructional design in operations training.
