Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Team Lead to oversee registration operations, staffing, and QA within Parkridge East Hospital. You will model AIDET, lead scheduling, and ensure high-quality patient interactions across registration areas.

The role emphasizes collaboration with nursing and ancillary departments, managing deposits and copays, and maintaining patient satisfaction metrics. Prior experience in registration or healthcare settings is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Staff and order supplies according to budget guidelines and department needs.
• Assist Manager/Supervisor in creating staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
• Model AIDET guidelines in all patient interactions and ensure staff follow patient experience expectations.
• Promote and demonstrate excellent customer service.
• Maintain QA statistics (e.g., patient wait times) and report results to Supervisor or Manager.
• Oversee daily activities of the registration area to meet department standards.
• Educate registration staff on changes pertinent to their roles; relieve staff during sick/vacation time as appropriate.
• Secure all signatures for treatments, release of medical information, insurance benefits, and payments.
• Work with nursing and ancillary departments to maintain teamwork.
• Excel in all functions performed by patient representatives in registration areas.
• Collect/request deposits and copays.
• Assume on-call responsibilities for staffing and problem solving.
• Register all patient types.
• Assist in resolving patient concerns.
