Job summary

Southcoast Health in Wareham, MA, seeks a Team Lead for Patient Access Services to oversee registration, insurance verification, and upfront collections. You will lead staff, ensure 24/7 coverage with on-call rotation, and drive optimal patient experience across the facility.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in leadership, experience with Epic registration and billing, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in a related leadership role.
• Minimum 1 year of prior Team Lead or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to assigned personnel in the Patient Access department.
• Ensure 7 days a week, 24 hours coverage with appropriate on-call rotation.
• Oversee patient arrival and registration process and maintain data quality for department metrics.
• Support accurate registration, insurance verification and upfront collections to optimize reimbursement.
• Educate staff and maintain system registration functions; support emergency room arrival & registration processes.
• Manage expired patient processes and safekeeping of patient valuables.
