Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be at the heart of our patient flow. You will check in and out patients, schedule visits and tests, and answer calls with a friendly, professional manner.

This day-shift role (8:30am–5:00pm) offers 40 hours weekly at Women and Children locations. It emphasizes excellent service, accuracy, and teamwork across departments in a not-for-profit health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Good computer and typing skills are required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• Good organizational skills in a fast-paced environment are required.
• One year of medical office experience or a graduation from a medical secretary program or the equivalent is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt with a signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Position reports to the Practice Manager/Administrator or designee.
• Check-in and check-out patients at assigned practice(s).
• Perform various scheduling tasks for patient visits, tests and procedures.
• Greet patients and answer or direct telephone calls.
• May cover different offices as needed or directed.
