Job summary

Shriners Children's in Portland, OR is seeking a full-time Patient Access Supervisor to oversee day-to-day patient access and scheduling operations for the site Contact Center. You will supervise Patient Access Representatives, ensuring accuracy in scheduling, registration, and pre-registration, while maintaining high-quality patient experiences.

You will monitor KPIs, coach staff, partner with Practice Manager, and drive process improvements to support timely access to care and service

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, or customer service in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associates degree or higher in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily patient access and scheduling operations for the assigned site Contact Center.
• Manage real-time workflows, staffing coverage, call volumes, and service levels to meet patient needs.
• Provide hands-on support during high-volume periods or staffing shortages as needed.
• Ensure accurate scheduling, registration, and pre-registration activities per policies.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, and report on patient experience metrics.
• Supervise Contact Center staff; coach, guide, and evaluate performance.
• Partner with Practice Manager and site leadership to align workflows and improve processes.
• Support onboarding and ongoing staff development to maintain competency.
