Job summary

Shriners Children's Portland is seeking a full-time Patient Access Supervisor to lead the site Contact Center, overseeing scheduling, registration, and workflow management to ensure timely access and high patient experience.

The role provides supervision to Patient Access Representatives, partners with Practice Manager and Regional Contact Center Manager, and relies on data-driven insights to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in patient access, scheduling, registration, or customer service in healthcare.
• Associates degree or higher preferred in a relevant field.
• Supervisory or lead experience in patient access or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily patient access and scheduling operations for the site Contact Center.
• Manage real-time workflows, staffing, call volumes, and service levels.
• Provide hands-on support during high-volume periods or staffing shortages.
• Ensure accurate scheduling, registration and pre-registration activities per policies.
• Monitor performance and accuracy of scheduling across site and other facilities.
• Analyze KPIs and patient experience metrics; maintain dashboards.
• Identify gaps and risks; implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Supervise Contact Center staff, provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Support onboarding, training, and development for staff competency.
• Coordinate with Practice Manager to align front-end clinic workflows.
