Job summary

Adventist Health Hanford is seeking a Supervisor, Patient Access for a full-time position with 8-hour day shifts at our Hanford, CA location. Oversees all functions within patient access and provides technical leadership on escalated duties.

The role includes supervising staff, improving upfront collections, ensuring data accuracy, and aligning the team with departmental goals. Requires leadership, compliance with policies, and the ability to recruit and develop personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Five years' patient access experience: Preferred
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) - Healthcare Financial Management Association: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises employees in patient access services and oversees all day-to-day activities and processes. Strategically aligns staff to support workload while meeting budget requirements.
• Supervises insurance and verification authorization staff, including pre-registration activities. Ensures all patient data is accurate and that all systems work efficiently.
• Conducts performance reviews and provides input on direct reports for HR decisions such as hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Leads by example and builds a diverse, cohesive team and identifies top talent to achieve objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience

Five years' patient access experience: Preferred

Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) - Healthcare Financial Management Association: Preferred
