Job summary

Women’s Care in Tampa seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice for patients. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and capture billing information while ensuring a smooth and welcoming patient experience.

The role requires a high school diploma, outstanding customer service, and strong communication skills. You will handle phone and email inquiries, assist with billing questions, and maintain tidy front desk operations with HIPAA

Qualifications

• Must have exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others while providing a positive patient experience at every encounter.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities and a professional demeanor.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to multitask in a high-volume setting.
• Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and visitors in a friendly, prompt manner and confirm demographics.
• Register new and incoming patients and verify insurance information in EMR (eCW).
• Collect payments, explain billing policies, and set up payment plans as needed.
• Answer high-volume calls, respond to emails, and schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Ensure proper checkout and HIPAA compliance, keeping lobby tidy and informed of delays.
