St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage patient check-in/out with emphasis on throughput and service quality. You will verify insurance, collect copays, and scan documents into the Medical Record while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA.

The role requires strong communication, patience, and teamwork in a busy medical office environment. Hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, with a standard 8am-5pm shift.

• Requires good communication skills and patience.
• Experience in medical office is preferred.
• Must be able to learn all aspects of the office and be a team player.

Responsabilidades

• Check in/out patients in an efficient, organized manner.
• Schedule appointments and verify insurance during registration.
• Collect copayments and patient balances; scan/file documents into Medical Records.
• Answer multi-line phones and direct calls politely.
