Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Patient Access Services Registration Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will interview patients to collect demographics, financial and insurance information required for billing, and help ensure accurate registrations.

In this role, you will screen for pre-certification requirements, uphold privacy practices, and support revenue cycle goals with accuracy, attention to detail, and patient‑centered service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Certification in CHAA or CRCR preferred; de-escalation training by orientation (90 days) is required.
• Experience in hospital or physician office registration/scheduling, insurance verification, or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to collect complete demographic, financial, and insurance information for billing and accounts receivable.
• Verify insurance and screen for pre-certification requirements to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate patient records, protect privacy, and support revenue cycle with high accuracy and attention to detail.
