UNC Health Nash is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle facility-based scheduling, pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, and financial clearance under supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must complete EPIC Cadence and Prelude training & pass exam upon completion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written & oral communications; familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Verify ADT information to ensure patient safety, accurate charging, and correct insurance processing.
• Complete and document government, regulatory, financial, and contractual forms per procedure.
• Use price estimation tools to provide accurate patient estimates during registration.
• Meet upfront collections targets including deposits, estimated amounts due, co-pays, and prior balances.
• Participate in departmental QA and use system work queues to minimize errors.
