Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• One year of related experience, preferably in medical, financial services, or high-demand customer service environments.
• Preferred medical terminology and insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conducts scheduling, registration, and admitting functions at bedside; verifies insurance information and collects necessary data for billing.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities, calculates estimates, and posts payments in the ADT system.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and maintains productive operations while upholding privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintains accurate registration in the electronic health record and serves as a problem solver during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
