Job summary

You will verify demographics and insurance data in the EHR, and support registration, scheduling, and documentation processes. Responsibilities include collecting payments when applicable, communicating financial responsibilities to patients, and ensuring accuracy and privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred, with knowledge of patient registration procedures, insurance payers, and real-time eligibility verifications.

Responsibilities

• Register patients across access points with accurate demographics and insurance data in the EHR.
• Scan, index, and manage patient documentation to support registration, billing, and clinical workflows.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients using established tools and collect payments when applicable.
• Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments to ensure timely access to care and workflow adherence.
• Identify and resolve routine registration and insurance discrepancies; escalate complex cases per workflow.
• Provide patient-facing support via phone and other channels, documenting interactions per procedures.
