Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Specialist - Registration to join our Registration Clinic in Billings, MT. This full-time/float role requires delivering excellent customer service, gathering demographic and insurance information, and initiating the revenue cycle through accurate data entry and timely payments.

As a float position, you’ll move between desks, greet patients, collect co-pays, educate on forms and the patient portal, and help coordinate scheduling with providers while

Qualifications

• Greet patients and collect accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Educate patients about forms and obtain signatures as needed.
• Initiate revenue cycle processes and collect co-payments.
• Understand implications of incomplete or inaccurate information for clinical staff and the revenue cycle.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and teamwork in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure first impressions of Billings Clinic.
• Identify and enter accurate patient information to start the revenue cycle.
• Educate patients about forms requiring signatures.
• Validate insurance using IntelliSource and set up appropriate eligibility.
• Coordinate with staff to obtain Medicaid Passport authorizations.
• Schedule appointments per provider protocols and prepare patients for procedures.
• Promote patient portal enrollment and usage.
• Accept and post payments to accounts; balance cash and online records daily.
• Collaborate with departments for regulatory requirements.
