Job summary

TriHealth McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford, OH is seeking an Access Associate to register patients in a hospital-based, on-site setting. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, explain insurance estimates, and coordinate with hospital departments to ensure accurate, timely patient data and smooth throughput.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of Customer Service experience, strong communication and typing (35 wpm), and the ability to learn Epic-based workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Experience in fast paced customer driven environment Ability to operate multiple computer applications.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Typing speed of 35 wpm.
• Medical terminology required within first year of employment if not already taken.
• 1-2 years experience Customer Service.

Responsibilities

• Performs hospital-based registration in an on-site patient facing setting.
• Provides excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
• Internally working with TH ancillary departments to coordinate care, communication, confidentiality (HIPAA), patient throughput with patients and medical staff to obtain timely and accurate information necessary to register patients.
• Registers patients and verifies insurance information, collects copays/deposits/deductibles, and educates patients on benefits and potential out-of-pocket costs.
