BJC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring accurate registration, insurance verification, and courteous service in a fast-paced health system.

The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of billing and MPI selection, and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and care teams while upholding HIPAA and MSP guidelines. You will support multiple facilities and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.
• CHAA certification and less than 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking to solve a variety of situations and communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Register and schedule patients in multiple BJC systems; verify insurance, scan documents, and collect payments.
• Ensure compliance with MSP, HIPAA Privacy Standards, and patient rights while maintaining accurate MPI records.
