Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a Patient Registrar for the River Valley - Lancaster, OH location. This part-time .60 position registers patients efficiently, verifies demographics and insurance, and handles cash collections at the point of service.

The role requires prior medical office experience, strong customer service, and data entry skills, with the ability to multi-task in a busy clinic environment. Physical requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, advanced education preferred.
• One year of previous medical office experience preferred with prior experience using an electronic health record.
• Professional interpersonal skills with excellent customer service. Ability to multitask and resolve issues across priorities.
• Ability to be highly organized and detail-oriented in a busy clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and strong computer/typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Registering and Pre-Registering Patients.
• Verifying Patients Identification, Demographic Information, and Insurance Information.
• Point of Service Cash Collections, Co-pays, Deductibles and Coinsurance.
• Obtaining Consent for Medical Treatment and other Compliance as necessary.
• Accurate Computer Data Entry.
• Scanning of patient documents (Insurance Cards, Photo I.D., etc.).
• Working with systems including Patient Registration, EMR, and Data Pay.
