Freeman Health System is seeking a Registration Specialist at Northwest Medical Center to register patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays. You will work with ED, Outpatient, Surgery, and Financial Counseling to ensure smooth patient access and accurate data entry.

The role requires solid customer service, basic clerical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or GED is required, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of scheduling, administrative support, or clerical experience (healthcare or service operations preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication (phone, email, and in-person).
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Register patients presenting for services; collect information and signatures.
• Verify insurance at point of service and obtain patient estimates.
• Collect co-pays and receipts; assist financial counseling and billing.
• Coordinate with ED, Outpatient, Surgery, and Financial Counseling teams.
• Assist in scheduling coverage, training, and daily reporting.
