Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Janesville in Wisconsin is seeking a PRN Patient Access Representative to support the Surgery Center and main registration. You will greet patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and help schedule procedures with accuracy.

This role requires flexibility for variable shifts between 5:30am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Experience with EHR and patient registration is preferred; strong computer skills and excellent customer service are essential

Qualifications

• Experience with EHR and patient registration preferred, proficient computer skills, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patients and enters into the database; resolves issues about procedure type, date or location.
• Schedules patient procedures to optimize time and resources; coordinates and communicates schedules.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization coordination.
• Provides counseling to patients or their representatives about pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs clerical and reception duties related to patient registration.
