Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a Front Desk/Registration specialist at its urgent care network in Lexington, SC. You will greet patients, collect demographics and payment information, and ensure accurate medical records input and billing authorization.

This role requires strong communication, basic PC skills, and ability to work under pressure in a busy clinic environment. Training is provided, and you will collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to coordinate patient flow and referrals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must attend departmental approved training (minimum 8 hours).
• Excellent oral and verbal communication; able to handle potentially stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients for medical services and collects demographic/financial information.
• Obtains authorizations/referrals and records all payments at the point of service.
• Enter physician orders into the patient’s EHR and schedule appointments as needed.
• Interacts with patients and family members face-to-face or by phone; assists with directing to appropriate departments.
