Singing River Health System seeks a part-time Registration Specialist in Gulfport, MS. You will be the first point of contact, interviewing patients to collect demographic, financial, and insurance information for billing and pre-certification needs. You’ll help protect patient privacy and support accurate data entry.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. CHAA/CRCR preferred with de-escalation training; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• CHAA or CRCR certification preferred; de-escalation training completed or to be completed within orientation.
• Experience in hospital or physician office settings with registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and customer service.

Responsabilités

• Interview patients or representatives to collect accurate demographic, insurance, and billing data.
• Screen for insurance pre-certification requirements and verify coverage details.
• Maintain patient privacy, identify duplicate records, and ensure correct identification bands.
• Support revenue cycle by accurate registrations and timely data entry.
