Job summary

FOX VALLEY ORTHOPEDICS in Illinois is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will enter patient information, verify insurance, schedule appointments and collect upfront payments in a fast-paced setting.

Locations include Elgin and Geneva; travel between sites is required. Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years in customer service, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of customer service experience required.
• 2+ years healthcare experience preferred.
• 2+ years in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Willing to float between Elgin and Geneva locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
• Pre-register patient charts and verify insurance.
• Collect copayments and patient balances professionally.
• Enter patient demographics into the EMR accurately.
• Schedule appointments with patient convenience as a priority.
• Assist patients with wayfinding and paperwork.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety procedures.
• Attend team meetings and support after-hours coverage if needed.
