Job summary

Women's Care in the United States seeks a Patient Access Representative to greet and assist patients, collect demographics and payments, and manage scheduling and insurance information. You will use the EMR system and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong customer service skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others while providing a positive patient experience at every encounter.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Must have a customer-centric focus and present themselves in warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• High level of computer literacy with the ability to use and/or quickly learn computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and dynamic atmosphere.
• Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
• Collect patient demographics and update profiles for accurate scheduling and billing.
• Collect payments and assist with billing concerns per policy.
• Scan insurance cards, IDs, and other information into the EMR system (HIPAA compliance).
• Set up payment plans for patients unable to pay balances.
• Answer a high volume of calls and respond to patient emails per values.
• Confirm unconfirmed appointments for the next business day.
• Monitor lobby and keep patients informed if delays occur due to providers.
• Help patients with online registration or form completion as needed.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration before seeing the provider.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and follow up at checkout.
• Ensure all appointments in eCW are checked out daily.
• Maintain tidy lobby and front area, assist with waiting room as needed.
• Demonstrate Women's Care mission and core values.
• Compliance with HIPAA rules and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
