Responsibilities include obtaining authorizations, loading payer information, providing financial counseling when needed, and guiding patients through financial assistance programs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; one year+ in patient financial services.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with patient registrations and payments.
• Knowledge of billing/collections processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, verify demographics and insurance.
• Explain financial policies and collect co-pays at the time of service.
• Verify eligibility and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Assist with financial counseling and Medicaid applications.
• Collaborate with billing, physicians, and payors to resolve issues.
