Job summary

Banner Health's Palm Valley Imaging Center in Goodyear, AZ seeks an energetic Medical Imaging Assistant to support technologists and nursing staff. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with patient intake and IV-related tasks when needed, and coordinate scheduling while ensuring accurate records in PACS.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, medical terminology knowledge, and reliable computer skills to maintain efficient patient flow in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic medical terminology understanding and computer literacy.
• BLS certification preferred or required by facility policy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and coordinate scheduling and check-in.
• Enter patient information and verify demographics and insurance details.
• Support technologists by preparing exam rooms and assisting with pre/post procedures.
• Scan documents into PACS and ensure accurate charting and filing.
• Assist with basic patient care tasks and maintain supplies in imaging suites.
• Collaborate with nursing and clerical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
