Job summary

Retina Institute of Illinois is seeking a Front Desk Associate to serve as the first point of contact for patients. You will handle check-in/out, phones, scheduling, and information provision in a compassionate medical office environment.

The role requires HIPAA awareness, data entry accuracy, and strong customer service. Prior Nextech/ICP experience helps, and a reliable attendance record is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year medical office experience preferred.
• Nextech/ICP experience preferred.
• Strong reliability with good attendance and punctuality.
• Exhibits sound judgment in inquiries and routing.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients warmly and verifies appointment details.
• Collects documentation (ID, Insurance Cards, referrals).
• Books, confirms, and reschedules appointments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and coverage for visits and tests.
• Collects co-pays and balances; notes financial responsibility in the system.
• Explains billing procedures to patients.
• Enters data accurately in the practice management system; verifies information.
