Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ year of customer service or patient financial services experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in typing and common office software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).

Responsibilities

• Verify patient’s demographics and input information into the EHR to maximize reimbursement.
• Proficiently handle services including inpatient, observation, emergency, obstetrics, and surgery; may cover 24/7.
• Verify and understand insurance benefits; determine patient eligibility.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive patient experience.
• Explain financial liability, assist with payment plans, and apply for financial assistance when needed.
