Progress West Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative II for the wound care department. This full‑time role runs Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 4:15pm, and focuses on accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and at‑service collections to maximize reimbursements.

The candidate will join a team that supports demographic accuracy, MPI data integrity, and compliance with HIPAA and Medicare guidelines.

Qualifications

• First point of contact for patients; accurate data collection and entry.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy standards for patient information.
• Familiar with insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities.
• Ability to navigate MPI and multiple hospital systems for registrations.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients within multiple hospital systems with accuracy.
• Verify insurance, collect demographics, and provide patient preparation instructions.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect applicable payments at point of service.
• Adhere to MSP, HIPAA, and patient rights regulations; maintain patient records.
