Job summary

SSM Health, based in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a regular full-time Scheduler for day shift (8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• One year experience in a similar role.
• Experience with EPIC or a comparable EHR system.
• Strong communication and scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient information and enters it into the database and coordinates resources.
• Schedules procedures efficiently, coordinating times and locations.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization processes.
• Counsels patients about pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs registration-related clerical duties and data entry.
• Identifies process improvements and participates in related plans.
• Supports special projects and may review others' work.
