Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions is seeking a Patient Access representative to support hospital operations at Shelby Medical Center. You will perform registration, scheduling, pre-admission, admission, and discharge tasks while ensuring accurate patient demographics and compliant collection of balances.

You will also educate patients on financial liabilities and coordinate with payors and care teams. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year in customer service or medical admin

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year in a Customer Service role.
• 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients at date of service following standards and secure required forms.
• Explain financial responsibilities and use proper collection techniques.
• Verify insurance, benefits, eligibility and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and post-discharge care coordination as required.
