Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions seeks a Patient Access Specialist to support Citizens Medical Center in Alabama. You will greet patients, complete full registrations, verify demographics, and collect patient liabilities before, during and after service.

Responsibilities include scheduling, pre-admission and admission tasks, insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, and assisting with post-discharge coordination. Must handle sensitive information and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year in a Customer Service role.
• 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, provide world-class service and complete full patient registration at date of service.
• Explain and secure hospital and patient legal forms; scan PHI and file packets.
• Schedule diagnostic procedures and provide appointment instructions; assist as needed.
• Educate patients about financial liabilities and perform compliant liability collection.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and coordinate post-discharge care when needed.
